A warm fall day in a historic estate in Providence, Alisa & Ryan had a lovely intimate ceremony in the backyard of the Aldrich House. The day was full of warm, creamy colors, authentic details and we took portraits at the John Brown House and made use of an 19th century canvas map of the city.
On a gorgeous early-fall day, Molly & Michael had a wonderfully sweet ceremony amongst the peach and apple trees on Apple Hill Farm in Leominster, MA.
When Ana & Devin brought me all the way out to Aldrich Mansion for their engagement shoot, I got a sense real fast of who they are and what to expect at their wedding. Already donning a sharp tux and gold dress, they dressed to fit the part. Ana is a news anchor, and has the personality to match- quite different to work with someone who has a lot of camera face-time. An emotional ceremony in the chapel in the mansion was followed by some celebrity-status portraits, a first dance in the twilight, and partying on the marble dancefloor.
I drove up to Portland, Maine for this incredible, energetic couple with the most glowing smiles and sharpest fashion sense I’d seen. After a sweet ceremony and stroll through the cobblestone streets, we packed into an unassuming venue, the Mariners Banquet Center, across the street from where we began at the Portland Regency hotel. The banquet center smelled of the 70s, but Bailey & Joe transformed it to a warm, fun space to share a dance.
Emily & Kelly were in it to love, and party. Despite practically hurricane warnings all morning, the rain cleared up right in time and we had full reign of the magnificent Red Lion Inn in Cohasset.
With a love of all things designed and handmade, Brooke & Sean bought a cabin in a small town in the Mad River Valley in Waitsfield, Vermont, and fell in love with the lush woods at the base of the Green Mountains. Invites & welcome cards painted in watercolor, desserts made by the couple themselves, and a wood fire oven baking Vermont’s finest pizza were just a fraction of the details they put in to make their wedding as authentic and free-spirited as they could.
A second marriage for both, Marjorie & Richard are sweet, sophisticated and wanted some basic coverage for their wedding at the Harvard Club. As Richard serves in the State House as chief counsel for Attorney General Maura Healey, he asked her to officiate their beautiful ceremony. What an honor it was to be in the presence of such influential people.
Casey & Nils had an extremely sweet, intimate gathering at her family’s home in Canton, MA in maybe the only part of town you can’t hear the highway. There were horses, family members each with their own tasks in every corner of the property, a light layer of mist keeping the humidity down, and no shortage of lighthearted playfulness.
Two authentically energetic souls with a love for old Hollywood and dance went all out putting on a phenomenal day of love and celebration at St Mary’s in Holliston, MA and then a long drive into downtown Boston for a night at the State Room.
Ian & Bridget had a wonderfully spiritual Jewish ceremony at the Yiddish Book Center at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, followed by endless dancing at Mill One in Holyoke, a newly renovated event space in a beautiful old mill building.
