2017 - 5.12 Kaitlin & Eric

Weddings on the beach are tough, but in my opinion, the most worthwhile. It was windy, sandy, and the sun was harsh. All conditions I don’t shoot a lot in. I enjoy that sort of challenge, and I believe it sets me apart. This day I drove to the southernmost tip of Rhode Island, almost to Connecticut- Watch Hill in Westerly. Eric put his suit on at the beautiful Ocean House in eyesight of Taylor Swift’s mansion. They trolleyed over to a private beach, married by his father under a driftwood chuppah, and had an intimate dinner with their wonderful families at Maria’s Seaside Cafe.

2017 - 4.2 Steph & Dov

Stephanie & Dov are wonderful, intellectual Jamaica Plain neighbors. A passion for social justice and spirituality made their celebration a dream to capture. Steph spent the morning on top of the city at the Park Plaza Hotel, while Dov got ready in their home, and their paths crossed at Jamaica Pond for a sunny, playful first look. Later they celebrated at historic Alden Castle in Brookline, danced the hora, and didn’t stop dancing until the end.

Cally & Greg - Engaged

Cally & Greg met rowing. I don’t often like doing portraits in the ‘typical’ Boston landmarks, but they swayed my opinion. We walked all along the esplanade, Beacon Hill, and the Longfellow Bridge during sunset for a fun portrait session in June. We explored the boathouse he’s a member of, and walked around their quaint block in Beacon Hill, and ended up at the restaurant they had their first date at. Really looking forward to their downtown Boston wedding in November.

5.7 Kristen and Caolan - Wood Acres Farm

After surviving the drive through some torrential downpours on my way to Connecticut, I had such a special time capturing Kristen and Caolan’s big day. My engagement shoot with them last year allowed me to familiarize myself with their soft, low-key style. We kept posing to a minimum, and had a wonderful time focusing on the intimate, natural moments between them. We spent the day in the newly renovated Wood Acres Farm in Terryville, CT- a charming, yet surprisingly modern venue. The slight drizzle gave us the softest light and such vibrant colors for some stunning rustic portraits.

3.20 Yifan & Jeff - Skyfall Berkeley

In March I flew out to San Francisco to capture the most magical wedding I could’ve imagined. I met Yifan when I was in college and she and Jeff had since moved out to the west coast. It’s not often I get to travel so I jumped on the opportunity. It lightly misted on us that sunday, transforming the landscape into something ethereal and mystical, fog blanketing the city below us. I was lucky to have the amazing Steve Sangalang with me for the day.

9.19.15 Mya & Paul - Cohassett

It took me a while to get around to blogging this- It took several separate attempts to narrow down my selections, there were too many favorites! An extremely photogenic couple, a flawless September day, and a Cohassett wedding venue that is also their house made it very hard to take a bad photo. There was beauty everywhere. They were married at the gorgeous St. Francis Chapel in Back Bay, celebrated cocktail hour on a sunset ferry to Hingham, then spent the night celebrating at their beautifully decorated coastal home.
