Regina & Thomas had an elegant day at the ever gorgeous Omni Parker House.
A couple who lives in the heart of Boston but with families from Venezuela & California made a series of compromises that ended up in a glorious destination wedding in Incline Village, Nevada, a quiet ski town on Lake Tahoe. I was thrilled at the opportunity to be flown out for their wedding, and made a week of exploring, hiking, riding and swimming all over the area. A ceremony in a woodsy church on a hill, followed by a reception practically on the beach at the Hyatt Regency with direct door to the beach. It didn’t rain a drop the entire time I spent there, except on the wedding day- which thankfully went by fast and brought in a double rainbow.
Hillary & Ben had an extraordinary ceremony at Hardy Farm, deep in the woods of Maine. While the call to have it outside rather than in the barn was not the right choice, it made for some wonderful photos of the ceremony setup with the bright green backdrop, at least before it began downpouring. The afternoon ended in a rainbow and purple sky, and LOTS of kids playing.
I don’t use the word flawless lightly, or really at all, but Kevin & Laura put on an incredible celebration at Boston’s historic Omni Parker House with an elegant ceremony at the always pleasant St. Cecilia’s Cathedral in Back Bay. A live band, a beautiful sunset, and a goal of having The Most Fun made their wedding such a privilege to be part of.
Ellie & Adam live in Colorado but grew up in Portsmouth, and got married at Ellie’s childhood home in the historic district of Portsmouth, a section of town with tiny, narrow roads, old houses, and a view of the water.
Nice to have an opportunity to use conversational spanish once in a while. Adrianna and Robin married on the edge of the sprawling Arcadia State Park in southern RI. A sweet church ceremony, followed by some off-roading into the forest, then a big celebration at the Preserve at Boulder Hills.
A literal Gatsby-esque wedding, Ibie & Ryan had their ceremony in the yard of a home featured in the original film- Bristol, RI’s Linden Place mansion. They had a warming tea ceremony, a lovely intimate reception and a nighttime dance & sparkler exit.
My first time ever at the gorgeous Mansion on Turner Hill in Ipswich, Meg & Dave are athletes who had no trouble keeping the energy up all day. Their wedding party was dressed from the roaring 20s and their dancing was rehearsed, elegant, and full of surprises.
Two Museum of Science weddings in one month- though in different parts of the museum! A dynamic day overall, Joe & Jenny had a fun, low-stress but high-energy night at the museum.
Boston’s Museum of Science is always a surprising venue to me- despite having worked here several times. It’s sprawling in unique opportunities for photographs, and always has something new in store. It takes not-your-average couple to appreciate the quirkiness and the playfulness of the museum as a wedding venue. Song & Lawton were exemplary in both of those categories- they had a BIG celebration with their many friends and even more family, that began at a church in Boston College and continued until very late at the museum.
